The Blue Yak... Where would a name like that come from?!?

While backpacking through Europe with a life long friend, and maybe having a little too much wine, Susan and her friend saw a field of yaks in the distance. It was then they decided that Susan's next business MUST be named The Blue Yak.

In 2013 that dream was brought to life. Susan opened The Blue Yak Salon and Boutique in Creede Co. At the time she was more focused on thrifted finds. She now has honed in her style as what can only be called up scale Boho/Western. Not only does she do hair and have a boutique, she also has a custom hat bar that you can experience. Trucker hats and cowboy hats are ready to be created in your own style and taste.
